LOCATION: Colgate University is located in central N.Y. State, 40 miles southeast of Syracuse, in Hamilton, NY. Colgate is easy to get to from anywhere in the North East. (See WWW.COLGATE.EDU)
FACILITIES: In addition to having a huge Field House, there are three gyms, an Olympic size pool, tennis courts, a golf course, hiking trails, a fitness center, a small lake next to a fantastic pub, and great dining and dorm facilities. The campus also has plenty of space for outside training if the weather permits.
PROGRAM: Super Summer Seminars is open to any martial artist regardless of style, system, or affiliation. You will have the opportunity to meet our SPECIAL GUEST INSTRUCTORS and our other staff members at our Orientation Meeting Friday night. Super Summers’ staff consists of 20 expert instructors representing many styles and systems. The fee for the weekend, $210 per person (dbl rm), and includes five meals (starting with breakfast Saturday morning), room, entertainment and approximately 40 seminars. Classes and demonstrations begin early in the morning and end at 9 p.m. on Saturday and at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Saturday evening, after dinner, we have demonstrations and awards followed by dancing to a live DJ. A complete info pack including confirmation, directions, and class schedule, will be emailed or mailed to you upon registration.
KIDS POLICY: SSS is NOT a kid's camp - Children 16 and under MUST be supervised by a parent or an adult approved by the parent. We do not accept participants under the age of 12.
WHAT TO BRING: Sheets, pillowcase, towels, toiletries, swimsuit, snacks, uniforms, sneakers, and comfortable clothes. (Also martial arts weapons and sparring gear if required for seminars you will be attending.) Remember to order our specially designed 2008Super Summer T-shirt when you register - they will be in limited supply at the camp.The only other things you will need are a good attitude, an open mind, and a desire to learn from each other and our fantastic instructors. Super Summers is friendly, fun, and a real learning experience.
